I love the idea of the street being a communal public space where people bring their private selves, as well as the levelling feeling of inhabiting the street even for a short time.

Road cycling has been my pick up and put down, but mostly put down, hobby for almost 20 years. I love the freedom of the road, and sense of accomplishment that comes with covering long distances, particularly in a group or mass participation event as well as the zen like state it brings me to when I’m making progress at speed en-masse.

Learning and Development is my work hobby. We all need to leave a legacy, either directly through children and a family or through others. I hope mine will be having had a positive impact on others and their careers.

In many parts of the world, simply getting to and from school or work or to a medical facility can take up most of your day, especially if your usual mode of transport is on foot. Through the simple provision of bicycles, students particularly girls can get an education, people can access health care and small businesses can get their goods to market.
